The Upper Wawa Pumping Station Project is a major initiative to supply potable water to Manila, led by Wawa JVCo and EPC contractor Prime BMD. It involves constructing a pumping station, a conveyor steel pipeline, an access road, and three intake tunnels. Paramina Earth Technologies Inc. is responsible for building the main access tunnel, a key component in conveying water to the Calawis Water Treatment Plant. As an Assistant Engineer in this project, I played a pivotal role in the excavation and development of the Upper Wawa Pumping Station's access tunnel for the Wawa Bulk Water Supply Project. Collaborating closely with the Project Manager, I oversaw meticulous planning, efficient organization, and detailed documentation for the 1kilometer main access tunnel. • Contributed to meticulous planning and organization of the tunneling project, including scheduling of activities, resource allocation, and logistics management. • Managed comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, activity logs, and material usage records. • Ensured accuracy and completeness of all project documentation, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements and contractual obligations. • Participated in daily operational meetings to coordinate and plan tunneling activities, addressing any issues or challenges that arose during the construction process. • Tasked with presenting project progress reports during weekly coordination meetings, providing updates on key performance indicators, milestones achieved, and any issues encountered. • Collaborated with QAQC engineers to conduct inspections, tests, and audits to identify and address any non-conformities or deficiencies. • Led the analysis of tunnel development cycle time to identify opportunities for optimizing project timelines and improving efficiency. • Monitored project changes and generated updated schedules to maintain alignment with set objectives and timelines.

As a mining engineer collaborating with program developers or software developers who may not be familiar with mining environments, my role was instrumental in bridging the gap between technical expertise and software development in the context of MARVEL Technologies' Stages of a Mine Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality Technology. • Recognizing that program developers may lack familiarity with mining environments, I took the lead in identifying the specific scenarios and processes that needed to be modeled in the AR/VR technology. • Drawing from my expertise in mining operations, I provided clear guidance on which aspects of mining activities should be simulated to enhance the educational value of the technology. • I created detailed scenarios that depicted various mining operations, such as drilling, blasting, ore extraction, and haulage, explaining the processes and concepts behind each activity. • Through clear explanations and illustrations, I helped the developers understand the intricacies of mining operations, including safety protocols, equipment usage, and environmental considerations. • I offered technical guidance and support to the program developers throughout the development process, ensuring that the AR/VR models accurately represented real-world mining environments. • I guided the developers in creating scenarios that emphasized safety precautions, hazard recognition, and emergency response, ultimately aiming to reduce the risk of accidents and injuries in real-world mining operations.
