My interests include current developments in finance and financial applications. The most important skill for me to reach my career goals is hands-on experience in financial analysis. My previous job experience is mostly from the military; working as an intelligence analyst. Some of my qualities and skills learned in the Army are timeliness, high emphasis of teamwork, ability to be decisive, and drive to get the job done. These characteristics will transfer well into the business industry. Most people, who know me well, would describe me as an intense, ambitious, and hard-working woman. I think my most forthcoming characteristic is my drive to succeed in whatever I apply myself to. My major is business with a finance option, and my interests revolve around literature and linguistics. I am very passionate and interested in learning about the business world. In understanding how business works, a person can understand how the world works and more importantly, why the world works the way it does. As our world gets smaller, due in some part to technology, it is important to understand that the actions we are taking in one part of the world are affecting someone in another part of the world. Although this may have always been the case, the impact our actions have, have never been as transparent as they are today. My travels have taken me to various different countries and I have worked with people from varying backgrounds. My exposure to different countries and people gives me an ability to see things from another perspective. Over the past three academic years, I have taken various business courses that involve current events, international policies, spreadsheet calculations, and critical thinking. I have participated in multiple group project assignments.Specialties: My specialty includes speaking a foreign language, Russian. I am currently at third year college level, and have also studied Russian culture. I have recently been accepted into a Russian study abroad/intern program, in Moscow Russia for this summer. I hope to have more hands-on business experience by the end of this internship, plus better fluency.
