Serving in a Director role placed the responsibility of ensuring program quality, efficient operations, and compliance with all regulatory and funding requirements squarely on my shoulders.🔹 KEY FOCUS AREAS:➽ Managed program budgets, up to $3M, tracking expenses across 3 locations and 5 programs, and compiled, analyzed, and presented operational and performance reports. ➽ Hired and trained staff with an emphasis on establishing a positive and enthusiastic culture and generating cross‐functional alignment with a clear vision and mission. ➽ Excelled at collaborating with partners, stakeholders, and staff members to define and drive top-tier service delivery. ➽ Served as a thought leader and represented the agency, its programs, and its mission when participating in key meetings with government agencies, funders, partners, and like-minded organizations. ➽ Monitored client and program outcomes to ensure integrity of service models and to address areas of concern.🔸 NOTEWORTHY ACCOMPLISHMENTS:➽ Created Youth Advisory Council (YAC), a group comprising 25 to 30 high school aged servant-leaders dedicated to empowering and fostering youth leadership, service-learning, diversity, and educational growth and achievement. ▪️ Facilitated annual outreach and awareness events, as well as established partnerships and mentorship programs with community organizations, such as Hispanic Civics Association, Community Engagement Team, Operation Get Ahead, Senior Division, local churches, Hempstead Chamber of Commerce, and Nassau County Minority Affairs. ▪️ Assisted and mentored students on accessing resources and scholarships for college. ▪️ Program has served over 1,200 students since its inception and has since merged with the mayor’s office’s existing youth council program.
