Develop Music Therapy program for Augustana Care Health and Rehabilitation Center of Apple Valley.

Planned and facilitated music therapy and therapeutic recreational activities and interventions for geriatric adults in a memory care neighborhood in a skilled nursing facility. Completed assessments and documentation upon admission, quarterly, and as necessary; Provided 1:1 interventions/redirection in the evening with individuals requiring additional attention outside of the group setting.

-Planned and facilitated music therapy and therapeutic recreation programming for geriatric residents with dementia. -Assessed residents and documented necessary information using Point Click Care, and MDS 3.0-Supervised MT Practicum students from Augsburg College.

Provided home management and personal care assistance to seniors based on their specific needs.Facilitated music interventions for relaxation purposes as desired by clients.

6 month clinical internship requirement for Music Therapy degree and certification. Gained confidence and improved skills in group and 1:1 facilitation with a variety of populations including: TBI, Huntington's Disease, Dementia, Comatose/Semi-Vegetative state, Secured Men's behavioral unit, Geriatric.

Provided personal care and behavior redirection to an adolescent male diagnosed on the Autism spectrum and Tourettes Syndrome, and to a second adolescent male with Cerebral Palsy and autism.
