- By redesigning the future state of the retail replenishment process for REI's Sumner Distribution Center following the reduction of demand due to the opening of a third DC, significant operational benefits were able to be captured for both the Sumner DC and the stores that it will continue to serve- Split To Store department's maximum output increased by 67%, allowing the Distribution Center to be capable of meeting all projected demand in a 12 hour period for the next 5 years, even at a hypothetical 10% YOY growth rate- Total lead time for the retail replenishment process reduced from 36 hours to 12 hours, achieving same-day shipping to the stores for the first time- 43% increase of on-time shipments bringing the daily average from 65% to 93%- Same Week Sales Replenishment increase from 60% to 75% due to the reduction of processing days and adjustment of the waving and shipping schedules to optimize store receipts- Projected wage savings of $94,472 in 2017- Percentage of in-stock items increased by 6% on weekends

- Being the first intern for REI Outlet, I was tasked with charting out all existing operational processes, interrogating them, making recommendations on what the optimal to-be state should look like, then implementing, monitoring, and documenting the results- Discovered and recommended opportunities to increase annual revenue by an estimated $6,300,000 and increase annual site traffic by 21% through optimization of promotional period and marketing channel- Created and implemented project management process that achieved reduced promotional event planning and execution time by 47% (3 weeks). Provides a platform for management to further observe and optimize due dates and operational efficiency between the Site Merchant, Marketing, and Buyers- Delegated 5 hours of weekly work from Outlet Site Merchant to Outlet Administrative Assistant achieving annual savings of $14,000 - Created new system for event calendars using SharePoint, reducing the number of calendars being distributed and used from 6 to 1, improving transparency and ease of finding information - Created value stream map documenting all of REI Outlet’s operations giving company wide insights into the operational processes of Outlet for the first time
