Gifted specialist - collaborated and planned with fellow teachers to implement high level, differentiated lessons to meet the needs of gifted students within the general ed classroom. History and language arts teacher - designed and implemented curriculum based on Virginia's Standards of Learning.Presented at various local and national conferences on topics ranging from the use of GIS in a history classroom to using primary source documents with middle school students and using Google to support differentiation.Specialties: Creating and implementing lesson plans for students using primary source documents. Students are taught the "Tools of the Historian" as listed by the Organization of American Historians.
