Balanced, Cooperative, Consistent, Patient, Friendly, AnalyticAfter a short time studying information technology in 2009. I took some time off thinking about my future career choice. I chose to get a part-time job to still receive some income. It was there I first came into contact with logistics. I found it interesting to be responsible for the process of receiving, administration and managing stock control. So in 2010 I decided to start a bachelor logistics & economics at Inholland Haarlem. Around the time I began my education I was unemployed and through some senior students within the course I found a job at IKEA within the goods-flow department. Here I learned the basics of logistics. In the time spend at Inholland I studied multiple subjects including supply chain, strategy, operations management and strategic planning. Specialization minors included airport management, aviation management and financial service management. It was also here I found my patient and balanced nature was best suited for working on projects with a team. My third year internship was centered around improving stock control at a central heating installation company. A large focus of my study concentrated around the obsolete stock and how to properly control this. It was here I really had to put my analytic and friendly qualities to use. Both in finding a solution and convincing the management to implement it.My graduate internship took place at Hellmann Worldwide logistics. Here I was working on improving internal processes and researching how to apply proper control so management can make adjustments if needed. Following my graduate internship I was hired as a Import operations employee at Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. Focusing on Import operations and customer relations.
