About Simon Gilbert

Active, clear thinking, goal orientated, experienced leader and achiever. My objective is to contribute significantly wherever, and whenever I can.I have worked as a regional director/country manager (as a senior security professional) in high to low risk environments. I have had significant exposure to all aspects of security management having spent almost 29 years in both the Royal, and Royal Australian Navy, followed by commercial experience in the Middle East, Africa, South Asia and Australia. The past 10 years has seen my experience grow to include leading large security teams of both nationals, TCN’s and expatriates. I have been engaged by a number of international companies to spearhead their in-country development and have an impressive record of success in managing difficult security issues in a diverse range of cultures and national regulatory structures.I am a leader by nature, character and experience. I have developed teams in many and varied circumstances with the most recent, and perhaps most demonstrable success being with a brand new rugby team in Sweden. I took them from zero experience, to winning an international competition (in the challenge division) within 15 months. Strengths: Leadership and management by example in high, medium and low level threat environments. Team building and individual development. Production of clear, concise and accurate security risk assessments; hiring, training and managing locally sourced security staff; design, procurement and implementation of security systems tailored to meet management requirements.

Listed skills include Security Management, Military, Security, Weapons, and 46 others.
