Following a passion for community development and education, I have built my career in the nonprofit field with a focus on immigration and resettlement . As the Outreach Director for the Refugee Development Center in Lansing, I spend my time developing partnerships that support the refugee and immigrant community. Visioning and analyzing gaps in programs and services is key. As a part of this evolving and responsive team, I act as a language instructor, program manager, testing specialist, home visit specialist, and community liaison. I began my professional career in hospitality management where I gained valuable experience working as an event planner and sales representative for small businesses, international corporate companies as well as government entities. Using my work experience and my MA in TESOL degree from Michigan State University, I dedicate my time to community building and supporting newcomers and longtime Lansing folks as they work to become their best selves.When I am not working, I am spending time with my family, friends and plethora of animals.
