For the last twenty years I focused on the Energy and the Utility Industry leading the Strategy and Energy practices for several major Management Consulting and Technology organizations delivering projects focused on Customer and Operational Excellence. I am a strong, multifaceted business and technology leader who combines innovation with pragmatism, vision and implementation with a sense of urgency.Currently I am a Partner with Utilligent, an operational strategy consulting firm with a laser focus on the Utility Industry. Our competitive advantage stems from a combination of deep functional and technical domain expertise, a client-centric culture and a pragmatic approach to developing and executing client initiatives.Over my career I worked globally (China, Australia, Europe, Africa, South America, and North America) across the entire energy value chain including generation/production, trading, system and market operations, transmission, distribution, and retail. Current areas of strategic focus include the transformation of the utility business model, Security and asset criticality, realizing value from SmartGrid investments, developing asset-centric operations, enabling the integration of utility scale of distributed resources, and grid modernization.I have numerous publications, a keynote speaker at the Utility CIO Summit in 2012, and participated in the European Union (EU) Smart Grid Risk Management and Security Work-group for three years.
