I have completed some additional course work towards my Master's Degree, which I hope to one day complete. My passion for textiles and the creative design process has continued to grow and I am always on the look out for new and exciting ways to increase my skill set. DesignerAbsecon Mills, Inc. Sep 2016 - PresentCologne, NjAs a designer at Absecon Mills, I am responsible for contributing innovative designs, constructions, and colorways. While collaborating with the two other designers, I also assist with creating our presentation and inspiration boards . We then will use these as a reference when developing new fabrics for our open line and other special collections. Other developments include customs request that come in from various customers or sales team members. I utilize both Pointcarre on a Windows platform and JacqCAD on a MAC platform. Other responsibilities include digitally upholstering our fabrics in order to enhance presentations and grow sales, as well as hand weaving small samples for either customs or new products.We also have a sister company, Douglass Industries, who provides quality contract seating fabrics, panel fabrics, vinyls, faux leathers, urethanes, and foam to a broad spectrum of markets. I have occasionally worked with their Design Department to help cultivate various collections and trend boards as well as various trade show displays. -

Aug 2014 - Sep 2016Woolrich, PennsylvaniaAs the Assistant Fabric Designer, I was responsible for helping with all aspects of the designing process (fabric construction, artwork, re-sizing, colorways, etc..). I did a large majority of the CAD work for outside mill customers and also the Woolrich blanket division working with NedGraphics on a Windows platform. I was also responsible for the scheduling of sample fabric orders and maintaining the yarn library, fabric styles and standards. -

Some tasks might have included putting inspiration boards together, color matching and heat transferring designs for sample production, or helping put the finishing touches on display boards.
