As the Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Alpha IVF group, I am tasked with overseeing operational efficiency, driving strategic expansion, and ensuring compliance with stock exchange requirements. My role encompasses various critical functions aimed at sustaining and enhancing our organization's performance and reputation.I am responsible for the smooth operation of all IVF clinics and facilities. I develop and implement operational policies designed to optimize efficiency and elevate patient care standards, all while adhering to the stringent requirements set forth by the RTACIn collaboration with the executive team, I lead strategic planning and execution efforts. This involves devising and implementing initiatives to drive growth, such as expanding into new markets, executing acquisitions, and diversifying our services. Importantly, these strategies must align with the expectations and regulations imposed by the stock exchange.Financial management is another key focus area within my purview. Working closely with our Chief Financial Officer (CFO), I monitor financial performance, implement cost-control measures, and identify opportunities for revenue growth—all while ensuring compliance with stock exchange regulations and reporting requirements.

As a part of this role, I was responsible for setting up operations and working as Board Member. My responsibility included preparing a business roadmap and driving the organic as well as inorganic expansion of the hospital. I spearheaded unit operations with P&L responsibility and also planned for each department to be developed as individual profit centre. I gained extensive exposure to cross-functional collaboration, driving clinical and non-clinical resources as HR head, preparing business budgets and providing inputs for ensuring cost effective and value adding measures. I was also involved in devising & implementing initiatives leading to continuous operational improvement apart from liasing with several senior members in government & corporate sector.

This was a short term consultancy assignment of 6 months for quality initiatives and stabilization of 3 hospitals. It involved recruiting super specialist consultants, administration & HR activities, preparing a business plan for corporatization of charitable hospital and driving the turnaround of Hospital Naturopathy Hospital as a 5 star Hospitality Unit. My role included designing financial models to transform the hospital units into self-sustaining operations. I was significantly successful in driving ISO certifications and improving the overall patient experience across the units.

During this tenure, I was responsible for promoting hospital services & tertiary care medical services with an objective of improving profitability. I contributed significantly to turning around the hospital operations, successfully achieving improved occupancy and increased revenue. I also played a vital role in expansion of the operations by leading the initiative for establishing the heart institute. Another key contribution to the hospital was introduction of automation across functions leading to reduced OPD waiting time, improved revenue leakage and better monitoring & control.

As a part of this role, I was responsible for planning, designing & executing Senior Citizen Health Plan. Additionally, I was also performing the role of Service Line Manager for Apollo Heart Plan for the Apollo Group. I was pivotal in establishing large corporate relationships while also facilitating & organizing events, meets and conferences for greater brand visibility. My role also included re-engineering the business strategy, moving the focus onto the unexplored market and developing a Business Excellence model through Quality Steering Committees such as JCI & ISOs.
