About M. Simone Boyd
I spend my time dreaming of a day when my neighborhood will be free of violence, fighting for my neighborhood to remain economically inclusive, organizing events to connect neighbors and writing to shift the narrative of 37208. Whether advocating with city administrators or organizing community bike rides...I tell stories. I am the recipient of the 2018-2019 Literary Arts Fellowship from the Tennessee Arts Commission, helped secure $3 Million dollars of infrastructure investments for my neighborhood and helped raise $35,000 from developers, investors, and private foundations to pay LOCAL artists to perform during a street festival. My fourteen years of experience working in the non-profit , private , and the public sectors have taught me three things about myself. I excel in environments that are: • Mission Focused• People Centered • and Results Oriented If you have a project or opportunity that falls within those parameters… give me a shout! I’d love to hear from you. With Gratitude, M. Simone Boyd
