As the lead consultant for the Streamlining Academic Management (SAM) initiative at the University of Florida, my role has been to unite campus units around a common vision that prioritizes student success and administrative efficiency. The SAM initiative is focused on empowering student success, improving administrative operations, fostering innovation, and modernizing systems. This initiative involves a comprehensive evaluation of university policies and procedures to support the institution’s mission and future vision, while also implementing new software to enhance key academic services, including curriculum management, catalog development, scheduling, degree audits, advising, and academic planning. I created the initiative’s organization and governance model, established clear expectations for each role, and built a roadmap that guides campus discussions, decision-making, and software implementation, ensuring long-term success through collaboration and strategic alignment.

Transformed the culture of the University and Registrar’s Team into a more service-oriented and student user experience model in partnership with a team by directing and mentoring a team of 40 employees comprised of associate directors, assistant directors, managers, counselors, students, and other key positions. Selected accomplishments:• Drove improvements to the overall student experience across the following departments and operations: Academic Records, Class Scheduling, Exit/Discontinuance Counseling, Graduation, Degree Audit, NCAA Eligibility, Transfer Office, Registrar's Solution Center, Registration, and University Catalog.• Improved student retention by reducing early exits through the development of intervention strategies. • Enhanced graduate education program administrative operation in collaboration with the Faculty Senate and Graduate Council. • Created a new stream of motivated Associates degree students to enroll from technical and liberal arts colleges by designing new contractual degree pathways. • Streamlined transcript and degree delivery processes to provide 24/7 transcript electronic production service and to mail diplomas two days after final grades.

Directly responsible for the Office of the Registrar and Texas One Stop (which comprises all student-facing services for Financial Aid, Bursar, and Registrar). Conducted a 360º assessment of the Office of the Registrar and Texas One Stop’s budget, staffing, institutional support, technology, and policies to ensure office and institution are prepared for the future. Core focus was 3-fold: protect the past, provide outstanding service for today, and prepare for an amazing tomorrow. Selected accomplishments:• Provided strategic oversight for the implementation of the new Texas One Stop.• Lead the university’s revision of our academic calendar – resulting in federal and state compliance, a new term/sub-term model, a full week of fall break, final exam model switching from 3 to 2-hour exams while also ending exams earlier in the day to mitigate safety concerns, extended faculty grading windows, and published the first 4-year academic calendar.• Oversaw the university’s pandemic response to course scheduling, registration, and grading to ensure safety of our faculty and students while maintaining the integrity of our academic programs.• Focused development of a student-centered inclusive identity solution – including the implementation of self-service chosen name, pronouns, name pronunciation, and diploma names.• Overhauled a spiraling deficit spending budget to one generating profit while also fixing significant salary inequity amongst staff and established a base salary model that responded to the overwhelming rise in the cost of living in Austin.

Product lead for several modules within the university’s development of their a new student information system called AIM. As the project functional lead, we centralized degree audit, advising, academic planning and registration processes through the design and implementation of a new integrated MyMap application that provided students with unprecedented simplification in accessing key information and student services. Oversaw Registration, Graduation, Document Imaging, Petitions, and Veterans Offices.

Chief enrollment officer who continuously analyzed and improved admissions, scholarship, recruitment and student marketing efforts. Previous role as a Career Services Job Developer from 1994 – 1996. Consistently improved enrollment figures through the design and execution of engaging student marketing campaigns in addition to the introduction of student lifecycle management tracking through the creation of the college’s first CRM database.Selected accomplishments:• Expanded recruitment territories to foster increased enrollment and to cultivate enhanced student demographic, socioeconomic, racial, and academic diversity. • Built a world-class student ambassador program.• Boosted conversion and yield rates through the implementation of our strategic outreach service and contact response team.
