Opened in December 2016, this showcase venue presents Australia's largest and first fully-integrated convention, exhibition and entertainment centre, underpinning Sydney's place as one of the world's most desirable meeting and event destinations.In my role I am responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of all aspects relating to food service and logistics in the event management process. The position includes pre-opening and operational responsibilities across all three venues at ICC Sydney with 70 meeting rooms, Australia's largest ballroom, 35,500 sqm of exhibition space and our 8,000 seat live entertainment theatre.●ICC Sydney has a successful proven capacity of collectively hosting more than 12,000 delegates and holding multiple large conferences and exhibitions concurrently.●Grand ballroom with 2,000 pax banqueting capacity●Ultramodern plenary and entertainment theatre with tiered seating for 8,000 and featuring an innovative fan-shaped layout to enrich the live experience by bringing audiences closer to performers and hosts.ICC Sydney is the Asia Pacific's premier business events precinct. Monitoring all operating equipment to ensure it is in good working order, including negotiating Service Agreements for Operator assetsProviding information to the Director of Building Services regarding capital expenditure, equipment replacement, strategic direction and recommended upgradeEnsuring department requirements are met through effective planning and the provision of support during event planning to scope and quote event utility requirements (power, drainage, compressed air etc)

As a member of the Executive Management Team I provided strategic, financial, business planning and operational management advice/input to ensure that every event hosted is successful. Responsibilities covered the delivery of client requirements in all areas of the Centre’s operations with a focus on Food and Beverage, Client and Supplier liaison,I contribute to effective planning and operation of events in relation to security and WH&S services and ensure compliance with the National Construction Code and relevant Australian standards for operational set-upsThe Sydney Exhibition Centre @ Glebe Island (SEC@GI) was a 20,000m² purpose built facility so that Sydney’s exhibitions, trade shows and special events had a home and continued to thrive during the development of the International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) at Darling Harbour. The venue was managed by AEG Ogden The venue offered pavilion-style fully-serviced exhibition space of 20,000 square metres, with the option for an additional 5,000 square metres for temporary expansion for larger trade and consumer exhibitions. The four permanent halls provided between 2,000 and 9,600 square metres each and could be hired separately, or combined for a larger event

The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre (SCEC) was known as the premier conference and exhibition venue in Australia and was managed by a joint venture partnership between Accor Asia Pacific and Compass Group. As a purpose built venue, the Centre hosted over 600 events per year.The Centre closed in December 2013 to be transformed into an integrated convention, exhibition and entertainment precinct. As Food and Beverage Manager, oversaw the set up and delivery of all food and beverage operations within the Centre.I was part of the closing team with a responsibility to ensure critical continuity of high levels of customer service was maintained until closure.
