Most of the role was processing NCR’s (Non-Conformity Reports). This was the company’s process for reporting and closing out issues, analysing the root cause and implementing permanent corrective actions. My remit was to investigate the issues and pursue them to closure by assisting the relevant departments to identify the root cause and create a corrective action plan. Amending or creating processes to prevent future reoccurrence of the issue or raising care points. Data from the NCR log would be used to identify areas of the business that required auditing on a more frequent basis.Carrying out internal audits in accordance with the audit schedule to ensure process compliance. This helped highlight issues and target areas of the company that could be improved. I reported on my findings and if required raised Corrective Actions. Then in a follow up audit we would check to see if our actions had the desired effect. My proudest achievement in this role was when the Quality Manager went on long term leave. I was requested to oversee the completion of their duties including representing the company on an annual surveillance audit, monitoring performance, preparation of monthly Board reports, attending project Progress Meetings to provide updates on the relevant non-conformities and outstanding actions as well as to ensure all non-conformities are raised. I have taken on a lead role in auditing construction sites to allow for achievement of company objectives to extend the certification scope of their ISO 9001:2015 certification. Responsible for implementation of the Management System and Assisting with the preparation of site procedures and assurance records to ensure that staff have comprehensive and complete records for work carried out.I have coordinated calibration of various pieces of measuring equipment and maintaining records and certificates.

During my time as Quality Assistant, I was mapping processes, creating forms and documents. I was responsible for correct numbering and issuing of Quality Management System documents including procedures, standard documents and checklists.I was involved in the implementation of the Quality Management System which has been accredited to ISO 9001:2008 and then BS EN ISO 9001:2105I have processed Non-conforming reports and forward these to relevant parties.

I was responsible for assembly and sub assembly of doors, windows and Curtain Walling in accordance with manufacturing drawings and manufacturing instructions. I was responsible for acquiring tools and parts required for me to complete the assembly process. During my time on the factory floor I was responsible for operating CNC (computer numerical control). I was able to prioritise my workload. Liaising with the logistics team, I was able to ensure that materials required for machining were available on time to allow for the assembly line to have a consistent flow of material.I took a great interest in how the machine was operating therefore I undertook a CNC setting and programming course which allowed me to improve my understanding and make the CNC programmes more efficient.
