As a part of the Paradigm technology team, my responsibilities include the maintenance of our existing web applications, as well as the design and development of new features. We are moving from a Perl/Mason-based stack to a Flask-based stack, which offers ample opportunities to explore writing efficient but maintainable Python code and to gain experience with some wonderful frameworks like WTForms and SQLAlchemy. I believe it's important for developers to perform support, so I spend some of my time responding directly to user feedback - addressing issues and solving problems for users. I also dedicate a portion of my time to monitoring app/stack performance through AWS and refining our codebase to be more performant, modular, scalable, and reliable without sacrificing user experience or cost. The people I work with are the best - I feel consistently motivated to learn and do more by working in a tight team with people that inspire me.

My primary responsibility as a member of the Lovelyloot development team is front-end iOS app development. This includes Swift app design and architecture as well as integration with our back-end API. I also have a substantial role in UI/UX design, as well as defining our backend - from data models and architecture and app/api server layer.

I worked for the Full Option Science System (FOSS) at Lawrence Hall of Science in a group called ScienceView. We created visualizations and other tech tools to aid in science education. Most of my work revolved around the multimedia components of FOSS's K-8 science curriculum - designing and developing Flash multimedia using ActionScript, including games, visualizations, and streaming video applications to web application development in HTML/JS/CSS through JSP scriptlets within the Java portlet paradigm of the Liferay web application framework.

I devise and create interactive tutorials of scientific and technical concepts for presentation in patent litigation trials. In addition to conceptualization implementation, and display of produced multimedia, my position involves project management encompassing scheduling, waypoints, budgeting, delegation/distribution of work tasks, and project archiving.Creating accurate and persuasive interactives requires working in concert with attorneys and experts to craft effective messaging, often under strict deadlines and in high-pressure courtroom situations.In addition, I am responsible for managing and procuring the technological resources required to do the job. This includes both hardware and software, local and remote.

As a freelance web and motion graphics designer, I focus on educational and interactive media. Past projects include websites, interactive Flash interfaces, educational video production (English and Spanish), plus identity and print design.
