Perform conceptual and detailed IC design topology trade-offs of critical RF and analog ICs and sub-circuits, including layout using Cadence, ADS and HFSS design tools. Critical RF circuits include CMOS SOI switches with both RF and analog sections. Development of a low-power, ISM band, Phase-Locked-Loop-based transmitter in 130 nm CMOS process. - Designed a low-power, wide-locking-range, dual-modulus frequency divider, which holds the highest figure-of-merit as dual-modulus dividers. - Developed a novel gain-boosted LC oscillator topology for the oscillator, for low-power operation with acceptable signal quality.2. Design of an interface circuit for Ultrasonic Transducer in 130 nm CMOS process.3. Design of a low-power, bat-mounted wireless ultrasonic recording device with PSoC embedded system.4. Development of a microcontroller-based modular control system for CycleUShare project, a fully automated bicycle-sharing project in UTK (cycleushare.utk.edu/cycleushare/Home.html).
