I supported Canada's international AMR response by:- Working horizontally across the AMR TF and with federal departments to support and/or lead the development, continuous improvement, and implementation of overarching and country/table-specific engagement strategies and supporting background documents.- Proactively identifying international engagement opportunities and develop recommendations and rationales to inform Canada’s participation, including identifying and articulating Canada’s value proposition and contributions, developing programs and agendas, and recommending delegation participants.- Providing strategic input on international taskings to support senior official participation at international events, including drafting key messages and speaking points that reflect Canada’s domestic and international AMR priorities.- Supporting senior management participation at international fora by preparing briefing material, annotated agendas, decks, 1-pagers, and speaking points that include strategic advice and recommended interventions.- Participating across relevant international engagement fora and completing follow-ups as needed and in a timely manner, including drafting and disseminating summaries, to-dos, etc.- Working horizontally across the AMR TF and with federal departments to provide policy advice and recommendations on AMR priorities and broader global health initiatives, including by developing position papers, memos, briefing notes, concept papers, etc.- Providing expert technical and strategic input on international taskings to articulate Canada’s position regarding AMR, including AMR priorities and opportunities vis-à-vis broader international health initiatives.- Soliciting and coordinating input to support international AMR requests and help advance PHAC international activities.

As a policy analyst for the Strategic Partnerships Unit, Federal/Provincial/Territorial (FPT) Secretariat, my responsibilities included:- Contributing to the analysis and development of the CFIA’s position on FPT regulatory and policy priorities including domestic trade of red meat, African Swine Fever, and One Health. - Providing strategic advice and recommendations to CFIA senior officials to facilitate their participation in reoccurring FPT Ministerial-level engagements.- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues within the CFIA, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), provinces and territories, and industry to support and inform others on FPT activities. - Leading efforts to reevaluate and improve CFIA's Agency-wide stakeholder engagement tracking tool by holding cross-departmental consultations and generating briefing materials to provide recommendations to the President’s Office.As a policy analyst for the Policy Insights Unit, my responsibilities included:- Supporting the CFIA’s Sex- and Gender-Based Analysis Plus (SGBA Plus) portfolio to enhance SGBA Plus knowledge, training, and outreach across the Agency, Health and Agriculture Portfolios, Women and Gender Equality Canada, and other federal departments.- Preparing and providing briefings orally and in writing to ensure that all levels of management were provided with evidence for decision-making on SGBA Plus application, awareness, and capacity building.- Collaborating with internal and external colleagues to prepare for, plan, and co-lead a series of popular events and communication materials for CFIA and AAFC’s 2020 SGBA Plus Awareness Week.

The project, titled "Tracking Digital Declarations: Facilitating Evidence-based Innovation across Youth Centres", focuses on the development of new technology to support effective collection, storage and analysis of data relating to how young people use youth centres in Canada. My responsibilities included outreach to youth centres, developing parental consent forms, data collection, and involved participation in coordinating and planning meetings of the national research team.

My responsibilities included collaborating with WaterAid staff around the stewardship of corporate event sponsorship, overseeing solicitation of, and logistics of collecting all auction items from Embassies and internationally-focused businesses in Ottawa, tracking progress relative to the event and marketing plan, communications with senior staff and community stakeholders, and updating various marketing assets such as the Auction of Nations' solicitation package and the corporate sponsorship package.
