> Involved with two projects related to cyber-physical resilience analysis of the power systems funded by the Department of Energy (DOE) and the Office of Naval Research (ONR).> In order to assess the vulnerability of cyber-attacks on power systems, building a Cyber-Physical Power System Resilience (CPSR) testbed consisted of the digital real-time simulator (Opal-RT), SEL-751 Feeder Protection Relays, a SEL-2240 Real-Time Automation Controller (RTAC), a SEL-2740S Software-Defined Network (SDN) Switch, a grid simulator (power amplifier) and advanced communication infrastructures. Utilizing the developed testbed to perform Controller Hardware-In-the-Loop (CHIL) and Power Hardware-In-the-Loop (PHIL)-based experiments for testing developed algorithms and strategies. > To verify the resiliency of the power systems during different types of cyber-attack, playing an instrumental role in testing various attack scenarios on the power systems integrated with the real-world communication infrastructure. > Developed a cyber-physical real-time reference model (CRM) based on the concept of digital twin (DT) for cyber-physical analysis of the power distribution systems.> Developing machine learning-based strategies for detecting, localizing, and mitigating cyber-attacks on power distribution systems by utilizing the data generated in the CPSR testbed for multiple attack scenarios.

> Project 1: Stabilizing the power system in 2035 and beyond: evolving from grid following to grid forming distributed inverter controllers, funded by the Department of Energy (DOE). In this project, I developed a small-signal stability analysis model of a system consisting of multi-machines and the virtual oscillator controlled (VOC)-based multi-inverters.> Project 2: Opportunistic hybrid communications systems for distributed photovoltaic (PV) coordination, funded by the DOE. In this project, contributed to modeling and designing 1080 nodes distribution feeder in a digital real-time simulator (Opal-RT) by using ePHASORSIM and eMEGASIM simulation platforms for Power Hardware-In-the-Loop (PHIL)-based experiment with physical PV inverters and smart meters. Python is used to automate the building process of the power system model in ePHASORSIM for modeling the large-scale power system model.> Project 3: Synthetic models for advanced, realistic testing: distribution systems and scenarios, funded by the DOE. In this project, accomplished the modeling of substations with circuit breakers, switch, fuses, and substations transformers by using the distribution system simulator (OpenDSS).
