My role delivered the following social planning and community development outcomes:- Complex review of Council’s first homelessness policy.- Delivered new Homelessness Policy v2.0.- Facilitated review of Tweed Shire Housing and Homelessness Network Strategic Plan.- Advocated for funding to address significant increase in rough sleeper population. In a collaborative approach, secured 1.8 million to targeted outreach funding for the local government area.- Delivered significant community engagement and developed communication tools around complex technical information on community infrastructure.- Developed Community Facilities Plan – a strategic plan for delivery of community infrastructure for the next 20 years.- Co-wrote draft Affordable, Attainable and Appropriate Housing Policy Statement.- Strong advocate for affordable housing outcomes for community.- Delivered community engagement on service, resource, infrastructure and community development strengths and gaps for Tweed Shire.- Led and participated in many stakeholder forums pertaining to homelessness, affordable housing, social planning and community development.- Delivered many reports to Council on complex social issues.- Delivered many submissions including homelessness, affordable housing, drug and alcohol, child safety amongst others.- Co-facilitated funding applications.- Developed social impact assessment tool for internal use. - Team member of a strong, dynamic and inspirational community development team.
