I have been studying mathematics since 2012, and have been involved in teaching since 2015. I became a certified secondary teacher in early 2016, and have taught mathematics at the high school level since then. Much of my experience as an educator has been focused on at-risk, low SES students, and all that is included within that scope. Relationship-building, rapport, student accountability, critical thinking and problem solving skills were all large focuses of my time educating this community of students. I have a deep love and passion for mathematics. I relay that passion into my classrooms, while also meeting every student at their own level. I have been developing and implementing curriculum as a subject level-leader for the past 4 years. A large focus of that is implementing technologically inclusive curriculum into the classroom and adjusting to current and post-pandemic classroom environments.I absolutely love teaching. I love developing curriculum for students that gives them those lightbulb moments. I love supporting those students that may not have had much support in their home lives. I bring all of that passion into whatever position I'm in within my field.
