KRC One of the largest Sudanese corporation projects in the oil sector, found in 1998 is located 70 km north of Khartoum. The first phase of the refinery was operated with a capacity of two and a half million tons per year. This date of each year is the beginning of production in the refinery. Six years later, on the thirtieth of July 2006 AD, the second phase of the expansion was successfully operated, and production jumped to five million tons per year at a rate of one hundred thousand barrels per day.Currently I am working as a field operator at (GDHT & CCR UNITS).My responsibilities are :• Responsible to operate the machineries (pumps, manual valve, exchangers, compressor, air cooler, reactor, drums, tower, furnace …etc.) from field in order monitor and control plant operation.• Inspect equipment and identify issues if any, and inform shift supervisors and provide assistance to the maintenance technicians when required.• Ensure loading and unloading of chemical raw material in safe method.• Record plant and machinery readings in log sheet.• Work under the direction of shift supervisor to shut down and startup equipment’s under standard procedures.•Start up and shut down (compressors, regeneration system, hydrogen purification unit, boiler system) and all units during normal and emergency stations.• Responsible for plant data analysis and reporting as required.• Coordinate external contractors performing work in the plant.• Ensure proper handover of shift duties/activities to the next shift on duty.• Responsible for inspection of safety equipment in the plant as required.• Report immediately all incidents, accidents, unsafe condition to the immediate supervisor.• Protect environment, operate on a clean basis, and achieve sustainable development.• Accountable for own health and safety and do not put others at risk in the course of work performance.• Comply with company policies and procedures at all times, Perform other duties as assigned.
