As a recent graduate of the University of Missouri, I'm excited to embark on my career as a Vocal Music teacher for grades 6-8 at Lange Middle School for the 2024-2025 school year. With a major in Vocal Music Education and a minor in Spanish, I bring a diverse and comprehensive musical skill set, backed by three years of valuable field experience.During my time at the University of Missouri, I served as the President and Assistant Director of the undergraduate-led choral ensemble, Canticum Novum. My efforts in restructuring the ensemble provided undergraduates with increased rehearsal and conducting opportunities, fostering a collaborative environment for budding conductors, composers, and performers.I am a versatile musician, proficient in guitar, electric bass, and vocal performance across both classical and contemporary genres. My musical journey includes performing with the Show-Me-Opera company and active participation in various choirs, from community volunteer roles to professional engagements.In addition to my musical endeavors, I have a keen interest in health and fitness, integrating kinesthetic movement and vocal pedagogy to promote healthy singing techniques for all levels. My proficiency in Spanish further enhances my ability to connect with a broader range of students and communities.As I step into my role at Lange Middle School, I am eager to apply my skills and experiences to inspire and educate young musicians.
