Responsibilities include engineering a capital equipment manufacturing project from sales concept & customer RFQ through engineering, installation, start-up, commissioning & project close-out;Sales Support• Understand Customer’s Request for Quote (RFQ) & specifications • Support Sales with preliminary engineering activities, including system & process design specifications. Perform system & equipment sizing calculations • Develop preliminary project schedule, projected budgets, cash flow• Create detailed project schedule (design, procurement, delivery due dates for long lead items, installation, commissioning, etc.) Engineering & Design• Engineer the project deliverables to meet or exceed customer expectations • Review & approve designs for proper function, safety & good engineering practices • Prepare or manage preparation of documents, including piping & instrumentation diagrams, general arrangement drawings, schematics, layouts, detailed drawings, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings, & electrical equipment lists & operation/function descriptions • Submit, monitor & review status of design submittal packages to customer • Prepare & review RFQ’s to vendors & subcontractors; assist in contract discussions with vendors & subcontractors • Perform Value Engineering by suggesting Adder or Deduct ideas for customer review Installation & Commissioning• Prepare information package for field personnel• Create installation & start-up instructions • Assist with field installation; participate in commissioning activities as required • Mitigate potential contractor claims; identify additional job opportunities Close-Out• Provide technical support to Service Business Unit as required; assist field services with troubleshooting activities

Responsible for creating the most effective machine designs based on job specifications, concept sketches, verbal instructions, design standards, and knowledge of the customer’s needs based on functionality, reliability, durability, convenience, safety, maintainability, flexibility, aesthetics and cost.Applications can include snap fit assembly, bonding, fastening, welding, flow testing, vision system, or leak testing ; all at very high rates of speed. Materials handled include plastic, rubber, silicone, metal and others. Machines can assemble a variety of part sizes, shapes, colors and a large number of components. Aerosol line equipment options include Valve Feeding, Valve Placer, Tipping and Capping.

Perform all phases of paint, powder, or porcelain coating system project management & engineering including but not limited to: scope definition, design, budgeting, scheduling, purchasing, cost control, installation, start-up, & training.
