In this role, I supervised, mentored and trained three Directors of Religious Education for their respective Catholic parishes. I advised them on curriculum selection for their programs, as well as volunteer recruitment and retention. My responsibilities also included troubleshooting with stakeholder concerns and advising on conflict management strategies. Another aspect of this role was creating, publicizing and presenting faith-based programming for youth and adults, which also included budgeting and expense reporting. This position also included responsibilities as the Safe Environment (sexual abuse prevention) coordinator for all three parishes, which included maintaining and updating accurate records, assessing the suitability of potential volunteers, training volunteers yearly and responding to safe environment concerns as reported by parishioners, volunteers and staff. As with any small office, I was responsible of my own written correspondence, phone answering and scheduling and helped from time to time in answering general requests from local parishioners.
