MY PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATIONInquiry / Differentiation / Blended Technology Integration / Backwards DesignI believe that all students are capable of reaching their full potential in a growth-mindset learning environment that promotes risk-taking and fosters respect for self and others. To achieve high-order thinking and for meaningful learning to take place, students need a backward designed program that integrates technology and is rooted in inquiry. Students benefit from learning problem-solving and critical thinking skills in order to become informed, responsible, and open-minded individuals. Every new school year, it is my goal to establish a warm classroom environment which encourages curiosity, independence, caring, and collaboration.In short, I passionately believe that the role of the teacher is three-fold: to inspire a love for learning, to teach for understanding, and to evaluate student progress for the purpose of continued growth.
