Head Of Product Design (Vp Level)Skillz Inc. Jan 2021 - Jun 2023Las Vegas, Nv, UsSkillz is the leading real money mobile gaming platform. I was hired to lead design for the B2C consumer mobile platform, B2C developer web console, R&D, and Skillz App. I wrote and implemented a strategic two-year design plan based on our projected roadmap and P&L. I optimized tooling and processes, resulting in a hefty 45% increase in productivity. This was achieved by adopting Figma, refining meeting structures, promoting designer collaboration and pairing, and streamlining the design review process. We redesigned the main screens of the platform and many other features, though much of it was never engineered for many reasons. My team dwindled from 17 to just me by Nov 2022. I performed as the main IC for months and slowly hired three international designers until I left in 2023. -
