CurrentLeading data science-driven efforts to improve data quality and operations in the Consumer Expenditures Survey program. I also represent the Office of Prices and Living Conditions on the Bureau’s Innovation Board and AI committee, and serve on OPLC's Data Science Oversight Group.The CES is a nationwide household survey to find out how Americans spend their money. It is the only federal government survey that provides information on the complete range of consumers’ expenditures as well as their incomes and demographic characteristics. These data are also inputs to the calculation of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), a key measure of inflation.
