Sarah Colón (formerly Sarah Batista) is an Emmy-nominated executive producer, award-winning reporter, community builder and visionary leader. As a connector and communicator, Sarah's strength is in building strategic partnerships and producing high-quality programming and events. Sarah's 20-year career includes a myriad of roles as a TV news reporter/anchor, Executive producer, entrepreneur, non-profit founder and now higher ed professional. Early in her career, Sarah spent a decade as a TV news reporter/anchor - primarily at WBTV in Charlotte. In 2013, she took a leap of faith to launch her video production company, Stories to Inspire and eventually founded the women's empowerment non-profit She Flew the Coop. She has a passion for producing stories and events that create a sense of belonging and help people "feel seen." Sarah's adventures have taken her from award-winning reporting in Mexico to acting in a musical in Canada to missions trips in Nicaragua and beyond.
