About M. S Sarma
As a practicing bridge execution professional since 1978, I concentrated and enhanced my skills in the industry from scratch, right from the field. To the extent of my ability, I mentored several of my subordinated who later turned out to be extremely competent bridge engineers themselves. Wherever I worked, sincere efforts were put in, fostering a work culture of caring, learning and innovation driven by strong ethics and values inherited from my father (who was a Civil engineer himself) and my mentors. I’m passionately involved in my present profession and strongly feel that a lot more is left in me to share with. I continue to update my knowledge and want to utilize the same for further development of bridge engineers and the construction industry as a whole

Served in various capacities during two different periods, mainly on bridge related Railway projects in India and abroad. During my 1st stint, I was actively associated with the development of railway networks in Navi Mumbai as part of the Harbour line extension, as Project Manager for station building cum commercial complex and the Belapur - Panvel Railway line consisting of 38 bridges. Later, I was chosen to be sent to Jakarta, Indonesia for a flyover through the heart of the city. During my time with the company, I also worked on marine projects (Jetty construction) at Vizag in A. P. and Haldia in West Bengal. K Dam project near Shillong, Meghalaya
