I was appointed to the position in November 2017, by former Chairwoman Ellen Nowak, and continued to work with current Chairman Lon Roberts after her departure in March 2018. The position is comprised of two components, legislative outreach and mass media communications. Throughout my tenure at the Commission, I have worked closely with the Walker Administration, legislators on both sides of the aisle, the public, and various energy, water, and broadband providers to solve problems that Wisconsinites face on a daily basis. As the Public Information Officer, I am charged with managing the messaging for a regulatory agency that sets rates for customers of Wisconsin’s largest energy providers, all the way down to customers of Wisconsin’s smallest water utilities. This task has given me the ability to properly communicate technical regulatory language in a way that is easily understood by the general public.

Since Rep. Kuglitsch took office in 2011, I have taken on the daily duties of running a legislative office, As his senior staff in Madison, I handle Rep. Kuglitsch's day to day operations in our State's Capitol. This includes talking to and responding to constituents, writing press releases, maintaining the website, crafting policy, working with various stakeholders, and conducting policy research for the Representative.Since 2013, I have been the Committee Clerk for the Assembly Committee on Energy and Utilities as well as Representative Kuglitsch's Research Assistant. I have handled the duties of Rep. Kuglitsch's lead research assistant assisting in various areas. I worked rigorously on Wisconsin's Venture Capital bill as well as various bills to assist the utility ratepayers of Wisconsin and the Public Service Commission.

As an Intern I gave Congressional tours responded to constituent issues, and worked closely with the legislative staff.
