About Mike Stamp (He/Him)

For the past 25 years, I've been lucky enough to spend my days helping fantastic companies find and recruit the brightest and most creative talent out there, with the last 20 years of that, building and leading recruitment teams for some of the fastest-growing SaaS companies around, such as salesforce.com and Adobe. Good thing I'm a fan of travelling, as these teams spanned the USA, EMEA, and APAC!.Ready to lead, ready to inspire and ever-ready to learnWas all that time away from home worth it? Absolutely! I've enjoyed 18 action-packed years full of fast-paced growth and constant change (something I've come to adore, by the way) as the market shifted from perpetual licenses to Software as a Service.I am deeply passionate about fostering an environment where my team can excel and grow. My mission is to hire, develop, and empower the most exceptional recruitment, guiding them to achieve their full potential. What's my forte? That's an easy one – I excel at building teams that deliver results. Nowadays, my expertise is firmly rooted in the world of Software as a Service (SaaS), and in my humble opinion, that's where the real buzz is.Always keen to enhance my understanding of what drives people, I achieved my NLP Master Practitioner status back in 2004. It's quite possibly the best thing I've ever done! This accomplishment not only provided me with a deeper insight into people's motivations but also equipped me with a handy toolkit that I use daily to ensure we hire those who will inspire, innovate, and grow the company I work for.I had just finished a 6-month break from work and it was an absolute blast! I took that time to revel in my various hobbies, reconnect with family and friends, and most importantly, shower my mental health with some much-needed love. So, even though I wasn't in the office for a bit, I came back rejuvenated and raring to face whatever challenges lay ahead. I thoroughly enjoyed basking in some well-deserved rest and relaxation but I will ensure I still make time for the simple pleasures in life, like watching cat videos on the internet or mastering the art of competitive nappingSpecialities: Social Media, Cyber, SaaS, PaaS, Security Talent Acquisition, Executive Search, Employer branding, Recruiting, Recruitment, Security, Software as a Service, salesforce, Sales, Sales Recruitment, EMEA,ZsScaler APAC #zscalerlife, personal brand, SoMe, Fintech, BNPL, Sales Hiring, LinkedIn Ambassador.

    Riverty Mar 2023 - Present
    Baden-Baden, De
Early last year, I met a remarkable professional who shared an inspiring story about a company’s ambitious journey to unify multiple traditional, privately-owned fintech firms into a single, modern brand. This transformation spanned every aspect of the business, creating a cohesive and innovative entity.A month later, I joined the People & Culture Board as the Head of Global Talent and Employer Branding. My mission was clear: to architect a sustainable international recruitment process that not only met our hiring goals but also enhanced our candidate experience and significantly reduced reliance on external recruitment agencies.Over the last 12 months, we have:Thoroughly reviewed and rebuilt every part of the recruitment process, from designing and rolling out a new recruitment strategy, building new sourcing channels and techniques, developing and delivering interview training modules, implementing new technology, creating process and performance metrics and redeveloping all job descriptions.AlsoFrom almost ground zero, we have significantly enhanced our employer brand by developing a compelling Employee Value Proposition (EVP) highlighting our unique culture and benefits. We have also implemented targeted social media channels and campagns to showcase workplace culture and employee success, revamped our career pages to be more user-friendly and informative, and managed our Glassdoor and LinkedIn Company pages to improve ratings and engagement. These efforts have significantly strengthened our reputation as an employer of choice. Before you ask, yes, there was a significant reduction in agency fees :)Specialities: Social Media, FinTech, Talent Acquisition, Executive Search, Employer branding, Recruiting, Recruitment, BNPL, Sales, Sales Recruitment, EMEA, SoMe, Personal Branding, LinkedIn Ambassador, Sales Hiring.

It's Funny How things turn out. That call was from one of the most inspiring sales leaders I have ever met, and one lunch later, I was hooked. The Company was Zscaler, a young Silicon Valley Unicorn looking to build out its GTM presence in EMEA & APAC. With no recruitment function, no employer brand and no recruitment or HR team outside of the US, my role was simple. Build it! So, as the only talent team member in EMEA, I had to fill the open vacancies, while I hired the team, developed the processes, trained the hiring managers and created the collateral needed to establish a highly successful regional recruitment program, all while ensuring 0% agency use. It wasn’t long before the team had grown significantly and eventually was in excess of 25 awesome team members. To ensure that every employee was an ambassador of our brand and guardian of our culture, I built a branding team and we created and ran Zscaler's global employer branding programs. Our goal was to make Zscaler the employer of choice and help the market gain a behind-the-scenes peek at the story, the opportunities, the culture, and ultimately why Zscaler's employees had rated the company 4.7/5 globally on Glassdoor. Ultimately preparing the Company for its highly successful IPO in 2008.So, just as Salesforce transformed the CRM market with multi-tenanted architecture, Zscaler revolutionised the world of Cloud-based security. It's was an awesome place with awesome people and awesome technology.
  • Adobe
Head Of Recruitment And Employer Branding, Emea
    Adobe Apr 2013 - Jun 2016
    San Jose, Ca, Us
As a keen amateur photographer, I have always been a big fan of Adobe products, and when I received a call from their Global Head of TA about an EMEA leadership role, I was obviously interested.I was brought in to build out the existing recruitment team, lead the EMEA employee brand initiatives, and design and roll out new SaaS recruitment processes prior to their shift from a perpetual licence to a SaaS product company.I hired, mentored, and led a dynamic team of over 30 recruiters and support staff across EMEA. I was fully responsible for the entire recruitment lifecycle across 26 offices. I developed and built the EMEA branding initiatives that ensured Adobe maintained its winning status in all the 'Best Places to Work" programs we participated in.Specialties: Social Media, Cyber, SaaS, PaaS, Security Talent Acquisition, Executive Search, Employer branding, Sales Cloud, Recruiting, Recruitment, Security, Software as a Service, salesforce, Sales, Sales Recruitment, EMEA, Digital Marketing, Digital Media, SoMe, Personal Branding, Branding, LinkedIn Ambassador, Sales Hiring.
  • Salesforce.Com
    Head Of Executive Search, International
    Salesforce.Com Jan 2012 - Apr 2013
    San Francisco, California, Us
The next stage of my salesforce journey was to help create a band new Global Executive Search team dealing with the most senior roles in the company. Partnering with the two talent team executives that I dealt most with, my boss, the Global Head of Recruitment and my GTM sparing partner, the Head of GTM America's recruitment, we combined, a bit like the Power Ranger's "Mighty Morphin' Megazord", to create a team of 3 senior super search specialists. Our mission was to usher in the next era of senior executives to help drive salesforce's hyper-growth ambitions. , I naturally took on the EMEA and APAC baton and relished the opportunity to help shape the future of what has become the World's largest and most successful SaaS company.Specialties: Social Media, Cyber, SaaS, PaaS, Security Talent Acquisition, Executive Search, Employer branding, Sales Cloud, Recruiting, Recruitment, Security, Software as a Service, salesforce, Sales, Sales Recruitment, EMEA, Digital Marketing, Digital Media, SoMe, Personal Branding, LinkedIn Ambassador
  • Salesforce.Com

    Salesforce.Com Jan 2006 - Jan 2012
    San Francisco, California, Us
Imagine, you meet someone for a coffee and a catch up and end up walking out with the job of a lifetime. This was me. I stumbled across a relatively unheard-of SaaS company trying to expand in EMEA. Almost entirely reliant on external recruitment agencies, salesforce EMEA had never had a permanent recruiter, no process, no structure. 4 weeks later, I was the ‘team’, tasked with creating a brand new recruitment process, hiring and developing an EMEA and APAC recruitment team whilst also personally sourcing and recruiting (120 new heads in year one; I even impressed myself with that one!). Then, over the next 6 years, I built and ran the EMEA and APAC recruiting teams, consisting of over 40 recruiters, for the World’s largest and fastest-growing SaaS company, covering 20 countries across 3 continents.Specialties: Social Media, Cyber, SaaS, PaaS, Security Talent Acquisition, Executive Search, Employer branding, Sales Cloud, Recruiting, Recruitment, Security, Software as a Service, salesforce, Sales, Sales Recruitment, EMEA, Personal Branding, Sales Hiring, LinkedIn Ambassador, SoMe.
  • Recruitmate
    Management Consultant
    Recruitmate Apr 2001 - Dec 2005
After moving back to the UK, I decided to use my skills to help organisations build and streamline their internal recruitment processes. This ranged from 1:1 recruiter training, developing sourcing strategies, candidate personas, delivering various classroom-based courses and ultimately, building the Recruitment souring software, alongside a good friend of mine. Although I loved this stage in my career, I really missed the buzz I got from creating a team I could then lead, my days always felt a little ‘unfinished’. It was selling my consulting services to a relatively unknown startup that finally gave me what I was looking for.Specialities: Recruiting, E-recruitment, Interviewing, negotiating, closing, Recruitment,
  • Marchfirst
    Director Of Global Strategic Projects
    Marchfirst Aug 2000 - Apr 2001
Was offered the amazing opportunity to lead a new division within MarchFirst , another NASDAQ100-listed tech company, that was going through extraordinary growth. Mostly non-organic, through an aggressive acquisition program. My role? To assess their Talent teams, trim where needed and integrate them into the broader organisation. Was an amazing job in which I learned the art of the “difficult conversation”. However, the role was short-lived as MachFirst filed for Chapter11 in 2001.Specialities: Recruiting, E-recruitment, Consulting, Peoplesoft, Oracle, Recruitment, Sales Recruitment

Well this is an unusual tale. I flew to Miami to play some Golf with one of my closest friends and ended up in a golfing threesome with his CEO. Turns out, he was the CEO of a NASDAQ-listed technology company, looking to accelerate its growth globally. 3 hours and several white boards later, I had verbally accepted the role of building and leading the Global Talent team. What I didn’t do, was ask my fiancé if moving to the US was an option! 3 months later, I was married and living in Atlanta. This was ‘ground zero’, the role that developed my passion for building recruitment teams and developing World class recruitment strategies.
