- Responsible for making recommendations on conventional and CMHC mortgage loans within the region regarding risk, deal structure, and client requirements on new business opportunities and existing client relationships.- Assist AVP of Commercial Banking with the management of a complex portfolio and new business underwriting including structuring financing proposals, commitment letters, internal underwriting activities, client negotiations (including interactions with legal counsel) and credit quality monitoring within the portfolio- Provide due diligence and loan analysis for pipeline of $1 billion + annually- Coordinate with AVP on new loan applications for all types of real estate transactions from inquiry stage to formal commitment- Have knowledge of all aspects of CMHC policies, corporate lending policies and the Canadian commercial mortgage market- Review appraisals, environmental and building condition reports and any other third-party reports in accordance with policy

- Extensive end-to-end securitization experience of $2.5 billion + annually of CMHC insured mortgages - Oversaw the firm’s daily cash management with responsibility for securing funding for the various business lines including the financing of the commercial and multi-unit residential real-estate book- Responsible for raising required financing through various channels such as warehouse line of credit, the securitization program and agent & direct deposit pricing- Developed reporting and procedures to mitigate against the organization’s liquidity, funding and market risk - Provided weekly forecasts and analysis directly to senior management- Hands on experience with capital market transactions such as repos, swaps and syndicated financing- Project management experience through the implementation of securitization software and the introduction of new tasks/processes within the Treasury team and relevant stakeholder throughout the organization

- Introduction of a newly created team within the bank to ensure compliance with regulatory changes related to the Central Bank’s Code of Conduct for Business Lending to Small and Medium Enterprises- Developed the unit’s procedure documents and trained newly hired staff - Ongoing process management to ensure the team’s output adhered strictly to the Central Bank’s regulations
