I am one of the co-founders of Lusio Architects, a Sofia-based studio renowned for its innovative approach to public and educational buildings.At Lusio, our mission is to reshape how people learn, teach, and connect - through architecture and interior design. We champion intellectual freedom and see design as a potent tool for enhancing authenticity and experience, particularly in educational environments.The long version: After graduating with honors in Interior Design from CEU Cardenal Herrera in Valencia, and securing a Master's in Architecture from UACEG, my journey into the world of design has been eclectic and profound. My career took flight at ZJA, an esteemed Amsterdam-based studio where I contributed to numerous projects across The Netherlands and Belgium. However, my desire for a deeper connection with Architecture’s users led me back to Bulgaria. Here, I collaborated on urban strategies like "Sofia Tech Park" and "Sofia: a City for People" and immersed myself in user research and participative design.I became a design thinking coach at DesignThinking.bg, now Launchlabs, seeing the potential to infuse architecture with community-driven innovation. This belief shaped Lusio's ethos, where user participation isn't just encouraged—it's fundamental. Together with Violetka Slavova, as Lusio’s co-founders, we spent the past 8 years evolving our practice and creating an approach that not only delivers value to our clients but also nurtures a sense of purpose within our design team.
