I led the design and go-to-market strategy for a new training product for upskilling tech teams at Fortune 500 companies.

I built mission-critical information systems and operational infrastructure that scaled Bitwise's operations from 4 to 10 U.S. cities. My scope of work focused on leading the most urgent, complex, high-impact initiatives that accelerated growth, from vision-setting and strategy development to implementation. This included applying human-centered design principles to conduct quantitative and qualitative research to surface business needs and architect solutions, building systems for data capture and analysis that drive business performance, implementing digital transformation programs across functions that require business process design and re-engineering, change management, and training to support adoption and long-term sustainability.

I led a team that served 100 of AnitaB.org's largest corporate sponsors, designing strategies using an intersectional lens, and operationalizing programs and service offerings aimed at increasing women's representation in tech. Additionally, I helped the organization create a customer success team to better support our sponsors.

The RSA Fellowship is a global network of 29,000 people who support the RSA's mission to enrich society through ideas and action. Fellows have access to the brightest new ideas, innovative projects, a diverse network of like-minded people and a platform for social change.

(MotherCoders is now Bitwise Impact (https://bitwiseimpact.org/), the non-profit arm of Bitwise Industries) I led a non-profit I founded that expanded the tech talent pool in the San Francisco Bay Area, Salt Lake City, and New York City. Through a part-time program I designed and developed that includes on-site childcare, MotherCoders helps mothers transition into tech careers by providing training in front end web development and product design, and opportunities to learn about industry trends and methodologies from professionals in the field. In addition, we regularly host meetups for women and allies to strengthen the talent pipeline and build community.Top Student Outcomes: average of 68% increase in individual income, 62% now working in tech.I spoke and wrote regularly on how to drive innovation through building inclusive work cultures and talent development practices, and advised companies on how to create returnships and retention policies for women.

I increased the visibility of the State Controller's Office in Northern California by expanding statewide outreach efforts, particularly with constituents from the technology industry, and by developing working relationships with local community and business leaders, elected officials, and nonprofit organizations.With tech being the driver of the State of California's economic recovery, I also prepared policy recommendations on issues related to Technology & Innovation, as well as talking points, background briefs, and outreach materials. In addition, I planned and coordinated meetings with key stakeholders across industries to foster dialogue on issues affecting the technology sector, including entrepreneurship, government IT procurement, tax policy, open data, and emerging civic technologies aimed at creating greater government transparency and citizen participation.

I led project teams in providing technology consulting services to philanthropic foundations and non-profits serving marginalized communities. One of the largest projects I led involved the development and delivery of capacity-building trainings across California to a network of community-based groups spread across 14 areas.I also led internal efforts to drive continuous improvement and innovation. I developed systems for better data collection and knowledge sharing, and delivered in-house training on emerging trends and technologies.In addition, I expanded ZeroDivide’s reach into key networks across the philanthropic, government, technology, and non-profit sectors, raising the organization's visibility by engaging with audiences online and offline at conferences and events. I even organized San Francisco’s first-ever meeting on Participatory Budgeting at City Hall that convened elected officials, City administrators, and staff.

I wrote white papers and conducted portfolio assessments for ZeroDivide and the Mitchell Kapor Foundation. This involved research, interviews, data analysis, and policy and impact assessments.

While in grad school at Stanford, I became interested in the emerging Open Government (now Civic Tech) movement, because I saw it as being a new way to increase civic participation. As a fellow, I consulted directly with the Chief Information Officer and Director of Innovation to expand the scope and increase the visibility of the City’s Open Government efforts, largely centering around DataSF, to create greater government efficiency, transparency, and more opportunities for citizen participation.I also outreached to potential partner organizations in the SF Bay Area, such as developer and community groups, non-profits, private sector companies, and academia, to broaden engagement.
