QCLNG Upstream project involves the construction of infrastructure for the operation and distribution of Coal Seam Gas in the Surat Basin. The gas will be pumped to Gladstone for use in the Queensland Curtis LNG Project.Packages of work include; Roads, Water Ponds, Construction Camps, Field Compressor Stations, Substation and Central Processing Plants. The core components of these packages are bulk and detailed earthworks, structural concrete, structural steel, mechanical and piping.Thiess had a total contract value of $2.1 billion. All Milestone Survey resources are currently contracted to help Thiess deliver these packages. Responsibilities:• Manage the day to day operations of Milestone Survey.• Work on site doing both field and office work while managing other surveyors.• Build 3d design models for use in Survey Instruments and Machine Guidance• Developing procedures and management plans for both Milestone Survey and client surveyors.• Promote conformance to Quality and OHS&E standards.

The Hinze Dam has been the primary water source for the Gold Coast region for more than 30 years. The $390 million Stage 3 Project raised the Hinze Dam embankment wall from 93.5 to 108.5 metres, providing total storage of 309,700 million litres, almost doubling its capacity.Responsibilities:• Procurement and maintenance of $700,000 fleet of Machine Guidance Systems• Blasting setout and quantities for quarry producing 2,000,000m³ of material• Earthworks setout and asbuilt of 1.7km embankment (value of work $100 million)• Worked with Trimble testing the VX Scanner (Refer to “Professional Submissions")• Depth sounding surveys to verify underwater rock batters (built with Machine Guidance)• Precise survey monitoring for Embankment stability analysis• Monthly volume reports

The Meander Dam is a roller compacted concrete (RCC) dam comprised of 220 000 tonnes. Constructed primarily for water supply and hydro power. The project won the 2008 CCF Earth Award, Tasmanian division. The project also won the 2009 Award for excellence in concrete (Concrete Institute of Australia).Responsibilities:• Sole surveyor on project providing setout and asbuilt of $50 million worth of works• Survey control network design• Blasting setout and quantities• Setout of hydro station concrete and mechanical pipe works• AutoCad drafting services• Road setout and conformance checks

Detail Survey of water pipeline between Moranbah and Copabella. The pipeline was used to provide water to a new coal mine opening at Copabella.Responsibilities:• Collect all survey data for alignment sheets and water pipe mechanical design• Work with engineers to select a route that would allow cost efficient construction
