As the Director of Human Resources and Administrative Services at the American Federation of Musicians & Employers’ Pension Fund (AFMEPF), I oversee all aspects of HR and admin functions for a nonprofit organization that provides retirement benefits to over 50,000 musicians and 1,000 employers. With more than nine years of HR leadership experience in the entertainment industry, I have a passion for supporting and empowering the creative workforce and fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion, and excellence.I hold a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification and a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree with a focus on management. I have developed and implemented strategic HR policies and programs that align with the organization's mission, vision, and values. I have also managed the budget, contracts, vendors, and facilities for the AFMEPF office. Some of my key achievements include leading the HR response to the COVID-19 pandemic, enhancing the employee engagement and retention initiatives, and streamlining the payroll and benefits administration processes.
