Quality is the foundation of how SEAKR does business. SEAKR's attention to quality has been demonstrated by over 300+ flight units delivered to customer compliant with their specification with 100% on-orbit success.As VP of PA, I am responsible for the administration of the Product Assurance Organization for the company. I define and implement systems to ensure each product and process at SEAKR is in full compliance with applicable requirements and regulations. I provide direction, management, supervision, and mentoring for the department functions including: hardware and software quality assurance; parts, materials, and process engineering; reliability, maintainability, and configuration / data management.My favorite part of the job is mentoring future engineers to grow in their roles. Getting to do that while we see our collaborators and customers literally shoot for the stars makes every day in my role exciting and rewarding.

SEAKR Engineering depends on its suppliers to deliver reliable products in a timely fashion. With it's strong supplier base, SEAKR has been able to boast that it has never had a failure on any of its products in orbit in over 30 years.I manage SEAKR's Supplier Quality Engineers, who's goal is to establish and manage strong relationships with our suppliers through communication about delivered product and assessment from supply chain on schedule goals. We do this through stringent process documentation and evaluation of schedule and quality metrics, which we then feed back to our suppliers to address shortcomings as well as provide positive reinforcement. I also supervise and mentor SEAKR's Receiving Inspection group where we focus on high throughput of dock deliveries, while insuring the incoming product is carefully inspected and meets aerospace requirements.

Primary manager of a project to investigate electrical performance, reliability, and failure of carbon nanotube (CNT) interconnects and networks for integrated circuits, photovoltaics, sensors, and transistor applications.Diagnosed specific deteriorating properties within carbon nanotube networks and identified the relationship between conduction, failure, fabrication, and dopant desorption.Invented a screening method to proactively determine the life cycles of carbon nanotube constructed sensors and interconnects.

Directed several projects to measure interfacial energy between carbon nanotubes and polymers and understand how nonlinear elasticity, friction, and adhesion relate at the nanoscale. Identified how mechanics of CNT-based atomic force microscopy probes impact image stability and resolution.Developed a probing apparatus with measurement capabilities that extend to the nanoscale. This tool provided quantitative data on the properties associated with fiber-matrix adhesion.Established a continuum-based model to recreate the peeling process at the macro-molecular level. This nonlinear model identified the characteristics that the effects of elastic nanomechanics, adhesion and friction relate as processes at the nanoscale.Studied the theoretical principles associated with the position and configuration of carbon nanofibers. Specifically, the cylindrical fibers effectiveness when accessed during modulus rigidity and bulk axial modules.

Led a benchmarking study to measure the differential acoustic levels of a rear wheeled vehicle and the resonance frequencies of competitive propeller shaft vehicles. As a result of the study General Motors implemented several advances to their vehicle product line.

Created and performed Matlab programs that eliminated the need for practical analysis. These programs enhanced data based road profiles that led to the development of ADAMS, an analytical, nominal-vehicle predictive model.

Coordinated the validation process and scheduling of the GMT 2003 cargo van. Eliminated delays and major build bottlenecks such as poor dimensional analysis, incorrect tooling, and poorly manufactured parts.
