Responsible for strategy, execution, compliance, and financial performance for 15,000 employee pediatric academic medical center ranked #3 in the nation. Manage all health and welfare, retirement (qualified and non-qualified, DB and DC), wellness/well-being, on-site employee clinic, tuition, voluntary, and other ancillary benefit programs. Lead regular vendor RFPs and contract renewal negotiations. Manage a staff of five direct reports and work closely with HR Operations, HRIS, and Call Center teams.

Strategic consultation on employee benefit plans design, communication, compliance, and financial integrity. Develop robust communication and education campaigns for employees and internal staff. Manage relationships with third party vendors and internal/external strategic partners. Selected accomplishments:- Design and implementation of High Deductible Health Plan that achieved 15% participation in year one and 125% increase in participation in year two.- Design and implementation of robust employee health and wellness program utilizing third-party vendor online tracking and social engagement platform, annual biometric screening and health assessments, and behavior-linked incentive rewards.- Manage benefit appeals and work with Employee Benefits Committee to ensure compliance and appropriate decisions are rendered.- Review and analyze self-funded medical plan financial and utilization data from data warehouse to track against budget and steer future plan designs.
