Led Board-elect in organizing and planning for a new governance model for a 90+ year old 1,000 member strong organization. Prepared budget for the new year and led several ad-hoc committees to organize League work for maximum impact.

Youth serving agency that provides mental health counseling and juvenile justice programs for over 3,500 youth and their families from Central Indiana. Programming includes: mental health counseling, psychiatric services, school programs, Teen Court and other solutions that provide opportunities for youth and empower families. Provide leadership and direction to team of 21 project managers, counselors and administrative staff. Responsibilities include: financial management, resource development, communications and overall direction of organization. Major Accomplishments• Created and launched agency review to align efforts and outcomes to community needs and established new partnerships to create greater agency efficiency and results. • Implemented multi-year plan to increase capacity of agency to meet demand for all programs as a result business grew by 294% in the first 24 months.• Rebuilt medical billing department: including credentialing for new insurance lines and Medicaid, resulting in increased revenue, decreased write-offs and increased client visits.• Diversified and balanced budget to include additional fee for service, foundation and corporate support. • Modernized all “back of house” operations including medical billing, accounting, scheduling and reporting.• Created individual giving program that grew by 124% from 2008-2013 with two signature events and an annual appeal.

The Workforce Investment Board for Marion County, a not for profit which specializes in providing workforce development programs for businesses, job seekers and students, During my tenure at IPIC I held three positions within the same department culminating in position as Director of Strategic Initiatives, leading a team of three people. Responsible for securing and managing over $4 million in competitive grant funding.

Major Accomplishments:• Worked with over 100 businesses and trade organizations in the nine county Central Indiana region, to create $5 million in workforce development training programs. Responsible for creating partnerships, writing all grant applications, tracking and evaluating outcomes, auditing files, and coordinating press events for large grant announcements.• Developed the regions first comprehensive workforce development program in health care. Worked with Clarian, St. Francis and Ivy Tech to create a customized training program to address the nursing shortage.• Created a unique program “Tech Smart” with the Family and Social Services Agency to assist at-risk young mothers obtain high value certifications in the IT industry. The program was designed to move individuals out of public assistance and into high demand careers.
