I am a qualified Chartered Accountant, with over ten years experience in a mid-tier accountancy practice. Having joined Ribchesters while studying towards my AAT in 2004, I am currently the audit and accounts manager. This role has gained me experience in various sectors, including the Charity sector, and Multi Academy Trusts.As well as being the lead trainer of our clients on Sage 50, I have gained vital knowledge and experience on online accounting software, including Xero, SageOne and Kashflow, in order for me to carry out training on those too.Because of the size of our clients, my accounting knowledge covers various standards, but mainly FRS102 and FRS102 Charity SORP.As recently as June 2017 I became a Governor at Sedgefield Hardwick Primary School, and currently sit on the finance committee, as well as the full board, within that school. Whilst this is something totally new to me, I am enjoying the experience of learning what comes with this role.
