As a Beta Tester for Microsoft, I received software downloads and used a program on my computer to capture my keystrokes while working to find bugs and issues with the code named software. In basic terms, break the software. I enjoyed the challenge this provided me, especially when I was able to figure out a fix. There was some required travel to Conferences and Round Table Discussions on certain code named software prior to it being given the official name and then marketed to the public. I only left this job to become the primary care taker of my Mother-in-Law.

As Owner I was responsible for making all decisions regarding the business. I handled everything from financials, creating and maintaining websites for 114 clients while offering a high level of Customer Service in the Northern Virginia area. I sold QT Web Design to a pair of young Entrepreneur's looking for an established business when my Husband retired from the United States Air Force and we moved. I knew I would not be able to provide my cliental with the level of care they had become accustomed to without continuing to live in Bristow Virginia.

As an Assistant Crew Leader for the 2000 Censes, I met with enumerators on a daily basis and went over questionnaires to assure they were properly filled out, and to answer questions and advise enumerators assigned to my crew. Eventually I did quality control to assure that the data provided was correct. I was also involved in some mapping to check property lines that would be used should redistricting be required. My time with the 2000 Census ended when the 2000 Census was complete.

As a US Air Force spouse, I was afforded the opportunity to travel and show my horses in various states. As I showed I had the opportunity to meet and network with several high level American Quarter Horse Breeders and Trainers, primarily in the Pleasure Horse and Working Cow Horse Industries. I started advertising in the Virginia Quarter Horse Association and Maryland Quarter Horse Association and was quite successful in meeting with interested buyers and connecting them with the top level Breeders and Trainers and managed those sales. As a broker, I took a commission from each sale. Sometimes a sale would require travel to Nebraska, South Dakota or North Dakota. Upon deciding to start a family, I stepped back from brokering and continue to this day referring potential Buyers to Breeders and Trainers, I do not however receive any compensation for a purchase made by referral at this time.
