CurrentSupport clean room users in the new CNM facility by training them on various semiconductor equipment and assisting where needed. Characterized dicing saw for new materials and processes (grinding sapphire, dicing sapphire, multipass ceramics, silicon, glass, carbon, diamond films, and silicon carbide). Assist users with ion lithography, SEM, FIB milling of prototypes, contact lithography, dicing various substrates, Xenon Difluoride etching, wet chemical etching and plasma etching. Developed new Xenon Difluoride etching recipes for NASA Project. Gold plating development. Purchased capital equipment including a dicing saw, CMP, HF vapor etch, rapid thermal processing system, custom cold plate, microdrill, ebeam evaporator and other smaller tools. Improve clean room operations by looking for new tools, procedures and apparatus that will better utilize the laboratory. Wrote and reviewed standard operating procedures and hazard analysis documents for users in the safe operation of tools. Troubleshoot process equipment and look for ways of improving uptime.
