✓ Develop (coding and occasionally writing user stories, test cases, and writing documentation) mobile & web based applications deployed on cloud services. The most important factor concerning these applications is that all of them were deployed at scale with many, many users ranging from drivers to logistics professionals ✓ 'Own' long term projects including a "Unified View" of all relevant collections to the operations (Ops) team. The MVP required several months of development and Five senior developers to implement three separate projects. One project listens to changes in the underlying collections and POSTS to the flattened database. A second project acts as an API layer to the flattened DB. Together these two projects create the back end, ETL (extract, transform, load) layer. And, the final, user interface layer, consists of React.js web components implementing spreadsheet software. The spreadsheet interfaces with the aforementioned API to allow our Operations team real-time access to 10s of thousands of rows of real-time, paginated short-haul & drayage data that has been indexed for performance.✓Maintained code coverage of 75% using Cake, Mocha, and Enzyme/Jest. The type of tests written included unit tests as well as integration tests. I also used Functional tests as well as sanity tests during development and on each environment (acceptance, staging, and production). ✓Worked in 2 week sprints averaging 12 story points per sprint in each month on the engineering team.✓Collaborated with Project Managers (PM) and a Quality Assurance (QA) team. ✓All Pull Requests (PR) required Code Review (CR) using Github approval features. ✓Developed new features, or PR, on four distinct environments: local, acceptance, staging and production. QA approval required before the PR can move from acceptance to staging and finally production where sanity tests were required.

Penango is a suite of web browser extensions that allow users to send both signed and encrypted messages on web mail platforms. As an engineer at Penango, I am involved in several development projects that I either code or manage. Namely, our web app, www.penango.com is my responsibility. I add new features and improve the users experience by implementing projects designed by the CEO/CMO. The web app is written in Ruby on Rails and deployed on Heroku.On the Penango Web Mail Client, I wrote the error console. The console is written in Javascript and is used by the DOD. Always a cool feeling to know that branches of the government use software that I wrote!
