He previously worked for distinguished companies such as Ernst & Young in New York City and Arthur Anderson in Chicago.A visionary and team leader, Minoru relocated from TSUTAYA Japan to Los Angeles in October 2007 to direct the company’s USA subsidiary as President. He leads the TSUTAYA USA team with more than 10 years of experience in entertainment, media, finance, and operational management. Prior to his time at TSUTAYA, Minoru served as General Manager of Corporate Finance and Planning for Jupiter Shop Channel, the first 24/7 live home shopping network in Japan. Jupiter Shop Channel’s business revenue grew an impressive 500% under his leadership. After his success at Jupiter Shop Channel, Minoru was at the forefront of digital music distribution and instrumental in bringing online music services to Japan. He negotiated a $10 million joint venture between Tower Records Japan and Napster to create a music subscription service in Japan, which led to Docomo’s acquisition of Tower Records Japan for $108 million. In January 2010, as a founder and president, Minoru created NamiWave in a mission to establish the growth of new business.
