Organize and conduct large, complex GIS projects as project manager or technical team leader. Assist in preparation of detailed requisitions for material purchase, services, and subcontracts. Under guidance of more senior engineer, assist in reviewing supplier drawing submittals and technical bid analyses. Assist in preparation and issuance of specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.

Under close supervision, work closely with experienced field engineers on various projects in order to develop field experience in techniques, approaches, and procedures and nature of engineering systems, equipment, etc. Assist with surveying, testing, sample collection, and filing. Help with time keeping and cost control, inventory control, schedule checking, subcontractor monitoring, and material deliveries. Observe and report results of meeting, and conduct daily site tours.
