Besides, I contributed to the company by spearheading a high-volume portfolio of accounts, including Vodafone Africa Group, Econet Group and Telkom South Africa. I also streamlined operations in countries within Sub-Saharan Africa covering Lesotho, Nigeria, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Ghana, Tanzania, South Africa and Kenya. Headed a high-potential team of personnel in negotiation with LG-Nortel to transfer Ericsson PBX business and 15 employees. I held the credit for first ever break through for Ericsson South Africa since 1992 with Vodacom group, deployment of Transmission and 3G trial. I promoted, coached and empowered broad diverse back round communities within Ericsson Sub-Saharan Africa.Some of my key contributions are:☛ Built and maintained collaborative relations with shareholders, board of directors and various other stakeholders within customer segmentation.☛ Contributed as head of Account and Bid management towards the managed service proposals to Telkom South Africa with potential revenue of 2,5BUSD for next five years. This project came to a halt due to trade union and politicians’ objections. Leveraged strong interpersonal skill to negotiate with Telkom, government and trade unions for approval.☛ Executed 140MUSD transaction with Essar group of India for the complete turnkey of Mobile network in Kenya.☛ Commended by other executives for achieving over 200 MUSD sales during 2004, with strong profitability, exceeding the stretch sales target, resulting in winning Ericsson Top Sales Award.☛ Successfully arranged $150M external financing for operators in Zimbabwe, Kenya, and Nigeria utilising multi-lateral institutions.☛ Recognised as an active member of Sub-Saharan African Management team with key accountability for strategic planning and tactical action plans.☛ Successfully pursued number of business growth initiatives within the Sub- Saharan region by changing out of Motorola BSS in Botswana and Nigeria
