Wrote, filmed and edited videos for the Tom Rocks Maths YouTube channel (to be uploaded over the next few months to tomrocksmaths.com), about fractals and 3d printing, with the aim of increasing interest in mathematics, particularly among teenagers.Greatly strengthened my communication skills and ability to explain maths with clarity through planning many iterations of the videos, with advice from my mentor.Won a department prize for an early iteration of my first video, about the Sierpinski fractals.Taught myself video editing and animation using Blender and Adobe Premiere Pro.Built a highly interactive website, fractals.maxcl.co.uk with detailed explanations and live diagrams to explain how to design a fractal using Lindenmayer systems (which I also produced a video about).Wrote a server in Rust to process millions of triangles to turn a fractal into a manifold 3d object with smooth curves and a high level of detail, whilst allowing customisation.
