Senior Purchasing Agent
Current• Manage procurement process for Commodities and services valued at $50,000.00 or higher over lifetime of contract.• Monitor procurement phases from forecasting, supplier capacity, purchase orders and invoices, and speak to them during meetings to event stakeholders.• Manage purchase orders from $5,000.00 - $1,000,000.00 and assure compliance of all State regulations• Forecast and recast current contracts throughout lifecycle and negotiate renewals in advance to ensure there is no lack of coverage.• Identify and expand relationships with cross functional opportunities where collaborative pricing allows us to lower spend across multiple verticals.• Monitor vendor performance through contracted benchmarks and provide feedback/recommendations to upper management on how to troubleshoot current situation.• Keep current knowledge of procurement trends as a member of the Wisconsin Association for Public Procurement.• Develop procurement strategies with diverse teams to align processes with project goals.
